Hello and welcome to storyteller.nightbringer.net, a selfish corner of the internet created to appreciate and praise my own personal interests — which include video games, anime, TV shows and books. If you have good taste, you might find some entertainment in these pages, and if you don't — well, what have you been doing all this time? Roll up your sleeves and start clicking, because it's about time you uncovered some new interests! This is a slowly growing collective of fansites, created and maintained by me, and in which I register my random thoughts on a particular subject. Why? Well, the only way I can answer that is with another question: why not?

By the way, you are currently browsing version 2.0 of Storyteller, which features art from the manga Orange (オレンジ), which has recently received an anime adaptation and just is generally really cute. Keep scrolling for more information on the site & design!
"The orange juice was sweet and sour, a sad and painful taste."
Before opening, on Jan. 2016, Storyteller was previously known as Unpleasantlly Nice, a poorly-named website collective that managed to survive between 2010-2011, and housed a few fansites. Not much has changed since then — this is still a pretty uncreatively-titled website collective that houses a rather small number of fansites.
While there isn't much of a hidden meaning to the site's title, which is literally run by a guy who likes to tell stories, Storyteller is also, and rather sporadically, referred to as the Tidy Tears Network, which begs further explanation: in Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Tidy Tears is the name of the special ability that can be used by the NPC Drippy. The fact that this foul-mouthed and rude fairy can use such a move can, by itself, be interpreted in a number of ways; but suffice it to say that the networks borrows this name due to the fact that it usually approaches subjects that appeal emotionally to the author in some level — maybe even causing a few tears!
Version 2.0 features artwork from the manga Orange (オレンジ) — a story about a shy girl who receives a letter from her future self, containing instructions that might save her friend's life. While I haven't had much contact with the manga itself, the anime adaptation is pretty nice. The layout was designed on Adobe Photoshop CS3 and coded on Notepad++, using resources from Mangafreak and Google Fonts.
The internet — and webdesign specifically — is my personal means of creative self-expression. While some might paint, compose or sing, I find entertainment, relaxation and contemplation in designing a website and writing at length about subjects that catch my interest. I've found that I can organize my thoughts, (re)form my opinions and pre-conceptions and talk to myself when putting my thoughts down on a website's pages, and I find that pretty fascinating. Obviously, I don't build a site for every subject that I think about — although I do think of building sites for almost every subject that crosses my mind —, and I haven't been able to decide whether that's a good or bad thing.
I hope you're ready to join me as I try to make sense of my thoughts and feelings towards games, anime, shows, books, and whatever else I feel like writing about today. And if you'd like to know more about me, feel free to check my profile on Backloggery, My Anime List, Goodreads and Twitter!
